Monica Ramos - New Day/Cowrie

Monica Ramos is a Brooklyn and Manila-based illustrator known for her delicate and humoristic watercolor illustrations. All of Monica’s ceramics are a part of her summer table collection created over the course of the lockdown.

On the Summer Table Collection:
“During a year where being creative was a struggle, working with clay felt comforting. Clay made of earth, made of millennia-old life forms that have been broken down by fungi friends. Reconnection with nature felt vital. I want to learn from mushrooms, blossoms, lichen, moss, snakes, and stones. I hope to transform, to nourish, and to return. My bones will be earth one day too.”
