Lilian Wu - Wood-fired Fish

Lilian Wu Finckel is a ceramicist based in Brooklyn, NY. She creates both functional and sculptural wares, and has honed her wheel practice through the creation of Gongfu cha wares. She loves to wood-fire, and has fired wood and soda kilns in the Hudson Valley, Upstate New York, Connecticut, and Maine. She works as the Assistant Director of Gasworks NYC, a community clay studio in Brooklyn, where she also teaches.
