Jing Huang - Clouds Flow #7

"I explore nature, identity, sense of place, and cultural displacement. Through multiple layering of ceramic materials, assembling, and firing my work in unconventional, unpredictable ways, my work reflects the flow of landscape and atmosphere in changing environments, embodying the nature of my diasporic experience. I consider my work to be neither a representation of my hometown nor the view of any specific location; it is a process of seeking a deeper understanding of my identity and experience in the world."

Born and raised in Guilin, China, Jing Huang is a ceramic artist currently living and working in Charlotte, North Carolina.
